Rush Promotional Items Headache

My boss does not know how to plan ahead, period. He wanted me to design the venue for an upcoming activity and to buy logo printed promotional bags to be used as giveaways three days before the event. Three days?? Come on. If not just an ordinary employee, I could have told him about his incompetence in his face.

I decided to work on the giveaways first, since I thought that they would take a much longer time than the decorations. I called up some friends in my phonebook, and looked for logo printed promotional apparel items in the hopes of having awesome gifts to the attendees despite the short notice, courtesy of my genius boss. The person on the other line asked me to come over to their shop so I can have a better look at the items.

The boss’ plan to give away promotional bags is impossible to provide within three days, so I decided to look at other options. I’m just being realistic. Three days is not enough, with the production time and delivery, and all that negotiations that will happen. For other products, like logo printed promotional clocks and watches it is possible. But with large items like bags, it won’t happen.

In the end, I got the promotional products I was looking for. Cheap, yet I think it’s effective. For the design, I just got cheap promotional balloons to adorn the venue with. It was nice and had a lady’s touch in it. I’m sure all the participants will like the look that I’m trying visualize. I really don’t care what the boss says. I’m getting the job done, right?
